Design 017 Anyupa Treacle from Kaltjiti Arts Handknotted Silk Rug
Anyupa Treacle
Currently Unavailable. Seven Sisters

The Seven Sisters is an important Tjukurrpa story of central Australia. The Seven Sisters roam the land, being pursued by Wati Nyiru, a man who is in love with one of the sisters. They shape the land during their epic journey which encompasses Anangu cosmology. In Anyupa's image, the sisters can been seen at their camp while Wati Nyiru creates a tree to hide behind. The sisters eventually flee to become the Pleiades and Wati Nyiru leaves his tools on earth and resides in the constellation of Orion, still pursuing the sisters across the sky. We understand that many ancient cultures across the globe have a similar story to tell.

Design 922 Handknotted Silk Rug Damien and Yilpi Marks
Currently Unavailable. Sandhills
This image is from a beautiful painting depicting the sandhills of Damien’s country, Mount Liebig, towards Papunya. When you see the hills from a distance, the wind blows through the sand, making the hills move and change form. The wind makes ripples, undulations and ridges in the sand in the same shapes and patterns that can be seen in this painting. These sandhills are a common sight around Papunya – some of the hills are so large they can only be walked across. In between the sandhills are dry claypans and rockholes.
