Better World Arts is situated in the heart of Port Adelaide, South Australia, on the corner of Dale Street and Commercial Road. Housed in the historic Art Deco Egyptian inspired Masonic Building, we have an extensive retail shop, gallery and working artists spaces for the Adelaide Anangu community.

Our gallery holds regular exhibitions by Aboriginal artists from across Australia and we have a collection of several hundred beautiful, affordable, contemporary Aboriginal artworks for sale, predominantly from the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in central Australia.

Better World Arts is a place to find unique art pieces, canvases and gifts as well as hand made limited edition rugs. As well as displaying paintings, our retail store is a showroom for our unique Cross Cultural Products (which can be found in galleries and cultural institutions across Australia and overseas). We stock a large range of beautiful hand-stitched rugs, cushions and ornamental lacquer (paper mache) boxes and jewellery. We also sell punu (hand carved wooden sculptures), tjanpi (baskets), mukata (beanies), bags and Aboriginal books.

Opening hours are from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am-4pm Saturday.  Please phone if you wish to come outside these hours, we are often working or you can make an appointment.
